An elegant, Black Tie optional evening featuring an internationally themed menu and wines from the following Monterey County premium vineyards: Pisoni Vineyards, ROAR Wines, Boete Wines, Figge Cellars, Woodward Graff Winery, Chock Rock Vineyard, Morgan Winery and Silvestri. The evening will feature the 2nd Annual Large & Rare Bottle Auction.

Queso Fundido

Oaxacan Cheese fused with Mexican chorizo served with homemade mini corn tortillas. This delicious Queso Fundido appetizer will be topped with mild chile slices and chorizo nuggets.

Paired with 2006 Bocage Unoaked Chardonnay

Second Course

Fiesta ‘Salinas Valley Green’ Salad

Crispy chorizo flour tortilla mold filled with romaine lettuce served with tomato slices and purple onions. This fresh fiesta salad will be topped with pumpkin seeds, cotija cheese and our creamy house cilantro dressing.

Paired with 2005 Bocage Sauvignon Blanc

Third Course

Tortilla Soup

A puree of fresh vegetables topped with chorizo tortilla strips, cotija cheese, cilantro and a sprinkle of pepper flakes.

Paired with 2006 San Saba Pinot Noir

Fourth Course

Platillo Sarandeado

Seared grilled rib eye rolled in chorizo and topped with sautéed mushrooms and served over a bean puree.

Paired with 2004 San Saba Merlot

Fifth Course

Crispy Cinnamon Buñuelo

Sweet flour mold filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with cinnamon and warm caramel.

The Grand Finale

An annual “must attend” event at THE NATIONAL STEINBECK CENTER! Gourmet food sampling from over 25 local restaurants and wine tasting from more than 35 Monterey County wineries and vineyards, along with a silent auction and $10,000 reverse draw create a night of festivity. This event sold out in 2006 so order your tickets early!
